School's nearly out for the summer. The kids will be on the wind down after school is finished and parents will be rushing about trying to juggle life, work, kids activities, being taxi drivers and all the other things that the summer holidays bring!
The teachers have worked hard all year, constantly motivating our kids, encouraging them and teaching them all the things they'll try their hardest to forget over summer! I think we can all agree that our teachers do a fabulous job. Teaching our kids in the classroom and in the field, taking them on fieldtrips, motivating and inspiring them and being a friendly and familiar face every day. They must breathe a sigh of relief at the end of term as they look forward to a chance to recharge, rest and get away from a bit of what seems like endless admin!
We have always given a small gift to a teacher or two at the end of the academic year and I know that even the smallest thing, whether it's a home made card, a bottle of plonk or a bar of chocolate, brings a smile to their face.

Our small Cove candle is a firm favourite and one you'll often smell when you visit us in the shop. Everyone loves a candle.
We also have the votive candles by Marmalade which are really popular and smell divine!
As well as candles we do have some lovely jewellery by POM - they're affordable and so pretty and versatile, great for a teacher who likes a bit of bling! If you're looking for something a little less shiny our beautiful Wishstring collections is a sweet gift too.
Soaps are always a winner as a small gift for people and we have some absolutely lovely soaps in the shop and online - the Highland soaps and Planet Soaps are two of our favourite brands!
In the shop we also have these gorgeous decorated shell keepsakes, which, considering we are by the beach here in Portobello, make very apt pressies for anyone that works or lives nearby! They are so gorgeous.
And don't forget socks - everyone likes socks!
Finally we have some fabulous seed bombs which make the ideal gift for someone who has a garden and is a little green-fingered! I love the seeds bombs, come and find them in the shop!
